About the artist

Neoclassical

Alexis Ffrench is a pioneering British classical-soul musician, composer, producer, and pianist, renowned for his distinctive genre-crossing sound that fuses classical training with elements of soul, R&B, and hip-hop. He is one of the fastest-growing classical artists globally, with his music amassing over a billion streams and multiple albums, including "Evolution," "Dreamland," and "Classical Soul Vol. 1," reaching number one on classical music charts. Beyond his musical creations, Ffrench is a passionate advocate for music education, serving as the first Artistic Director for ABRSM and holding positions as a Governing Body Member and Trustee of the Royal Academy of Music. In his latest endeavors, Ffrench released "Classical Soul Vol. 1" on September 27, 2024, an album drawing inspiration from his late father's record collection and blending soulful melodies with contemporary rhythms. A solo piano collection version of this album, "Classical Soul Vol. 1 – The Solo Piano Collection," was released on March 21, 2025. The album features the single "Soar," a multicultural anthem with Fally Ipupa and Kevin Olusola, celebrating unity for the 2024 Olympics. He also released a Christmas album, "Christmas Piano with Alexis," in late 2024. Ffrench is currently on a European tour and is working on a musical with his son, slated to premiere at his son's university in April. Additionally, he hosts "Classical Connections Radio" on Apple Music 1 and is a judge for BBC Young Musician 2024. His past significant performances include King Charles III's Coronation Concert in May 2023 and a televised tribute to Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey in 2022.
