Max Richter is a celebrated composer, pianist, and producer renowned for his evocative works spanning neoclassical, minimalism, classical, and ambient genres. His compositions often blend traditional orchestrations with modern electronic elements, creating expansive emotional soundscapes. Richter's impact on the music industry is significant, with his catalog amassing over three billion streams, including his record-breaking eight-and-a-half-hour album "SLEEP," one of the most streamed classical albums of all time. In recent endeavors, Richter released his ninth studio album, 'In A Landscape,' on September 6, 2024. This album, recorded at his Studio Richter Mahr, delves into themes of optimism, human emotion, and reconciling polarities, merging electronic and acoustic sounds, and the natural and human worlds. He is also embarking on his first-ever world tour throughout 2024 and 2025 in support of 'In A Landscape,' with dates across the UK, Europe, North America, Canada, Australia, and Asia. Additionally, 2025 will see the release of a new album, 'Sleep Circle,' on September 5, which is a 90-minute distillation of his seminal 'SLEEP' project, marking its 10th anniversary. This release coincides with monumental 'SLEEP' performances at London's Alexandra Palace in September 2025. Richter also contributed an original score for Wayne McGregor's new ballet 'Maddaddam,' which opened at London's Royal Opera House in November 2024.
