Hildur Guðnadóttir is an Academy Award-, Golden Globe-, Grammy-, BAFTA-, and Emmy-winning Icelandic artist, cellist, and composer recognized for her work in drone, neoclassical, experimental pop, and contemporary music. Her solo compositions often explore a broad spectrum of sounds from her instrumentation, ranging from intimate simplicity to vast soundscapes. She recently released her new studio album, "Where to From," on October 31, 2025, marking her first solo release in a decade, and will be performing its music live throughout the 2025-2026 season. Guðnadóttir has also announced a new experimental supergroup called Osmium, with their debut album expected in June 2025. Her upcoming film scoring projects include "28 Years Later Part II: The Bone Temple," set for release in late 2025 or 2026, and the biographical drama "Hedda," due for release in 2026. She also composed music for the 2024 film "Joker: Folie à Deux".
