Pieter de Graaf is an award-winning Dutch composer and pianist known for his neoclassical music, which blends simple melodies with virtuoso passages and often incorporates electronic elements and jazz influences. He began his musical journey with jazz ensembles and The Kyteman Orchestra before embarking on a solo career in 2018. De Graaf's recent work includes the 'DAY & NIGHT: A Tapestry of Life' project, an album series exploring contrasting musical styles, with "DAY" albums featuring sensitive piano compositions and "NIGHT" albums incorporating electronic beats. The first album in this series, 'Tapestry of Life: Everyday Whispers', was released on March 8, 2024.
