SDM, whose full name is Léonard Beni Mosabu, is a prominent French rapper known for his powerful flow, deep and aggressive voice, and a keen sense of melody in his tracks. He hails from Meudon, France, and his music often blends French rap, French R&B, and pop urbaine, also incorporating elements of hip hop, gangsta rap, and trap. He gained significant recognition after signing with Booba's 92i label in 2020. His debut album, "Ocho," released in 2021, achieved platinum certification, followed by his second platinum-certified album, "Liens du 100," in 2022, which included notable collaborations. In August 2023, SDM reached an impressive milestone of one billion audio streams, and his track "Bolide allemand" was recognized as the most streamed French title of 2023 on Spotify and Apple Music, and the second most listened on Deezer. Looking ahead, SDM announced his third album, titled "À la vie à la mort," which was released on September 27, 2024, featuring collaborations with artists like Tiakola, Werenoi, Hamza, Josman, and Skread. He also has a concert planned for the Accor Arena in 2025 and is set to be a judge on the Netflix show "Nouvelle école" alongside SCH and Aya Nakamura. In July 2024, he performed at festivals such as Les Ardentes and Dour Festival.
