Médine is a French rapper, born Médine Zaouiche in Le Havre in 1983, known for his conscious and political rap. His music often explores themes of migration, social justice, and the Muslim experience in the Western world, incorporating elements of rap, trap, French chanson, Arabic music, reggae, and Caribbean sounds, sometimes featuring lyrics in both French and Arabic. Active since 1996 with the group La Boussole, he launched his solo career in 2004 and is also the head of the Din Records label. In recent endeavors, Médine released his ninth album, "STENTOR," in two chapters. He recently completed a successful "Médine France Tour" that included over 70 sold-out dates across France, Switzerland, and Belgium, and also celebrated 20 years of his career with an intimate acoustic show featuring 20 performances. In February 2025, he visited Montreal for an acoustic concert and to shoot a music video for "QI RAP," promoting his album "Stentor, Acte I". His album "Médine France" was released in May 2022, accompanied by a tour of France.
