Kalash, born Kévin Valleray on June 12, 1988, is a prominent Martinican rapper and singer known for his dynamic blend of French rap, trap, dancehall, reggae, zouk, and pop urbaine. Raised in Martinique, his music is characterized by strong vocal delivery, powerful songwriting, and a fusion of Caribbean influences with contemporary urban sounds. He gained significant recognition with his album "Kaos" in 2016, which reached number 4 on the French SNEP albums chart. His subsequent albums, including "Mwaka Moon" (2017) and "Diamond Rock" (2019), further solidified his standing in the music industry. Among his recent endeavors, Kalash released the album "Tombolo" in April 2022, which achieved meteoric success and was certified gold upon its release, featuring hits like "Mwaka Moon" and "Tu le sais". He participated in an Amazon Music Sessions interview in August 2022, where he discussed his inspirations for "Tombolo" and the evolution of his music. More recently, his track "SO COMAN" was released with an official lyrics video in February 2024 and an official music video in February 2025, showcasing his continued presence and activity in the music scene.
