Juanes, born Juan Esteban Aristizábal Vásquez on August 9, 1972, is a celebrated Colombian singer, songwriter, and musician. He is known for blending rock with Latin American sounds. Juanes began his career as a member of the heavy metal band Ekhymosis in the early 1990s before launching a successful solo career. He has won 26 Latin Grammy Awards and three Grammy Awards. Musically, Juanes's first single from his upcoming album, "Una Noche Contigo," was released in April 2025. On September 16, 2025, Juanes publicly mourned the death of his mother, Alicia Vázquez, who passed away at the age of 95 in Medellín.
