About the artist

Pop latino

Ricardo Arjona is a Guatemalan singer-songwriter, recognized as one of the most successful and best-selling Latin American artists of all time, with over 20 million records sold. Known for his profound, poetic, and clever lyrics, he often explores themes of love, sexuality, heartbreak, and various social issues such as violence, racism, immigration, poverty, and politics. While his primary genre is Latin pop, his music seamlessly blends ballads, rock, Cuban music, and more recently, a cappella performances and a mix of Tejano and Norteño sounds. He is sometimes referred to as "Latin America's Bob Dylan" due to his socially conscious and heartfelt folk ballads and rock tunes. In terms of his latest endeavors, Arjona has announced an ambitious international tour titled "LO QUE EL SECO NO DIJO – Tour," which is slated to include over 150 concerts worldwide. The tour is set to commence in November 2025 with 15 sold-out shows in his native Guatemala at the Teatro Miguel Ángel Asturias. The U.S. leg of the tour will kick off on January 30, 2026, in Chicago, covering more than 30 cities. This tour follows a series of successful sold-out performances in Guatemala, Argentina, and Chile, as well as multiple sold-out dates at iconic venues like Madison Square Garden in New York and the Kaseya Center in Miami. He has also announced a new music project, "Lo que el seco no dijo," intended as a continuation of his previous work, with some sources mentioning an album titled "SECO" released in 2025.
