Intercourse is a Connecticut-based quartet known for their crushing and caustic sound, merging noise rock with elements of mathcore, sludge metal, and metallic hardcore. Often described as a "self-deprecating noise rock entity," the band aims to fuse the immediacy of hardcore with noise rock, creating a twisted and impactful sound. Formed in 2013, the group, comprising Tarek Ahmed on vocals, Sean Prior on guitar, Caleb Porter on drums, and Pete Stroczkowski on bass, has maintained a consistent release schedule. Their latest endeavor is the full-length album, "How I Fell In Love With The Void," which was released on September 12, 2025, via Brutal Panda Records. The album, recorded by Chris Teti and mastered by George Richter, showcases their blend of metallic hardcore and corrosive noise rock. Following the album's release, Intercourse also unveiled an official cover of Hole's "Violet". In support of their new music, the band has actively toured, with a run of US dates in September 2025 alongside Nerver. They have also announced a series of tour dates for 2026, including a Central US tour with Chained To The Bottom Of The Ocean in June, and their UK debut in November, supporting Rwake and Eyehategod, which includes an appearance at Damnation Festival.
