Armed For Apocalypse is a sludge metal band from Chico, California, known for their brutal, crushing, and aggressive sound, often incorporating elements of hardcore, doom, and post-metal. Their music is characterized by heavy, down-tuned riffs and an uncompromising intensity. The band, currently composed of Corey Vaspra, Nick Harris, Cayle Hunter, and Kirk Williams, has released several albums, including "Defeat" (2009), "The Road Will End" (2013), and "Ritual Violence" (2022). Armed For Apocalypse is set to release a new album titled "THE EARTH IS BREATHING BENEATH ME" in April 2026, which was recorded with Kurt Ballou of Converge. They recently debuted the "FISTS LIKE FEATHERS" video in February 2026 and the "IMMORTAL" music video in March 2026, and have scheduled tour dates into April 2026.
