About Irk

Irk is a Leeds, UK-based experimental noise rock trio, self-described as "Leeds' normalest weirdos," composed of vocalist J.S. Gordon, bassist Ed Snell, and drummer Matthew Deamer. Their sound balances the technical intensity of mathcore with the raw energy of noise rock, creating angular and unpredictable music. Their latest major endeavor is their second album, "The Seeing House," released on September 26, 2025, through Nefarious Industries. This album is noted for being darker and more experimental than their debut, "Recipes From The Bible" (2018), and features ten new tracks. In support of "The Seeing House," Irk has released music videos for tracks like "Toothache In Prison" and "Wedding, Berlin," and have scheduled UK tour dates.
