Antonello Venditti is an Italian singer-songwriter and pianist, born in Rome on March 8, 1949, who gained popularity in the 1970s for addressing social themes in his music. He is considered one of the most popular and prolific cantautori of the "Roman school". Venditti debuted in the early 1970s at the Folkstudio in Rome and is known for songs like "Roma Capoccia" and "Grazie Roma". In December 2023, he released a live album titled Il Concerto. In recent news, on August 10, 2025, Antonello Venditti performed in Piazza Grande, closing the "Estate di Stelle" event in Friuli Venezia Giulia. In July 2025, Antonello Venditti and director Fausto Brizzi announced that "Notte prima degli esami" would become a musical.
