Mimi Barks is a German singer, producer, and songwriter, known for her self-described "Doom-Trap" sound, a unique fusion of trap metal, industrial, hip-hop, and metal, characterized by heavy, gritty instrumentals, haunting vocals, and introspective lyrics. Originally from Berlin, she is now based in London and gained recognition for adding a feminine touch to the male-dominated metal scene. In 2022, she received the Kerrang! "Disruptor of the Year" award. Barks released her anticipated debut album, "THIS IS DOOM TRAP," on September 26, 2024, which she describes as a sonic journey through her "pain-body" and a guide on how to deal with it. The album is noted for its dark and open themes. Her recent musical endeavors include the single and video "Dreamstate Of Hell," released on April 5, 2026, marking a heavier and darker new era. Other recent releases include "FSU," "BANSHEE," "MONTANA" (featuring Yeti Bones of Ho99o9), "HOUSE FULL OF FAKES," and a 2025 cover of Linkin Park's "Crawling." Mimi Barks is also making her U.S. touring debut in 2026 with Little Miss Nasty and GG Magree, returning to Europe with Wargasm, and has announced a nine-date UK headline tour for March and April 2026 with SWARM6IX. Known for her powerful live performances, described as "emotional exorcisms," she continues to push boundaries within the alternative music scene.
