About Gavran

Gavran is a Dutch post-doom collective that seamlessly blends elements of doom, sludge, shoegaze, and post-rock into a massive yet intimate wall of sound. The band, whose name means "Raven" in Croatian, describes its purpose as a means to process doubts, despair, and anger, seeking understanding through their music. Following a period of uncertainty due to a guitarist's serious illness, Gavran re-emerged as a renewed four-piece and released their third full-length album, "The One Who Propels," on January 30, 2026, via dunk!records. This latest endeavor, which has been described as their most expansive and emotionally charged work to date, saw them collaborate once again with Marius Prins and Tim de Gieter. Prior to this, Gavran gained critical acclaim for their 2022 sophomore release, "Indistinct Beacon." They also unveiled a new music video for the track "Zora" from their new album.
