Turkish Rap coming to Vienna! Farazi & Friends: Savai, Sorgu & Kodes Kahra!

Farazi - Producer Farazi was born 1990 in Istanbul/Turkey. He started showing interest in the beatmaking scene in his early teenage years and released his first album in 2008. During that time Farazi released a bunch of music and his 2013 “Hayalet Islığı” album together with emcee Kayra is one of the most respected release by fans and critics in the Turkish Hip-Hop scene. After this album, 90 BPM was formed with Kayra. Savai, Sorgu and Da Poet. The group released 2 albums which are titled “Kötülük Bizim İşimiz” and “Şehir FM”. In 2016 Farazi teamed up with the Dutch based Hip-Hop label Below System Records and started his own record label with the name Deadly Habits Music (Yes, there is a GangStarr reference here). Many instrumental solo and collaboration projects with emcees were released on Farazi’s label.

Savai - Savai was born in 1990 in Çanakkale/Turkey. He started at the age of 13 with emceeing, producing and DJing. He’s mostly known as an emcee with having a interesting style of rap. His first album “Savai Instrumentals” was released in 2011 including the popular track “Dark Life” on TikTok and Instagram in the last years. He was part of the group 90 BPM with Farazi, Sorgu, Kayra and Da Poet, and relased 2 albums as an emcee. His latest album release is from 2023 titled “Trakya Manevraları” with Farazi. In 2026, Savai will be releasing a new album with Farazi.

Sorgu - Sorgu started in 2006 with emceeing and was part of the group Dramelodi Project with Kodes Kahra and Can Ates Beats. Later on he also started duo with Farazi called Anti-Kahraman and released his first EP “Yerel Küfürler”. Sorgu was also a part of the production team on Farazi & Kayra’s succesful album “Hayalet Isligi”. Sorgu was also in the 90 BPM group with Farazi, Kayra, Savai and Da Poet. Sorgu’s latest album release is from 2020 titled “Anti-Kahraman: 90 Nesli” with Farazi. He also released many singles and was featured on many projects to this day. Sorgu and Farazi are working on a new album, to be released in 2026.

Kodes Kahra - Kodes Kahra is an emcee and a producer born in 1987 in Istanbul. He started working on his first demos in 2004 and released his first release “Senaryo EP” in 2006. Until 2019 Kodes Kahra released many solo and collaboration albums including instrumentals totalling up to 11 projects. In 2019 he released “Ölmek İçin Doğanlar”, an album with Farazi that received many great reviews from fans and media. Kodes Kahra continues with his unique style of story telling and will be releasing another album with Farazi in 2026.
