About the event

Gotobeat is excited to team up with Rough Trade in Bristol to celebrate new releases from both Deadheading and Neverlove. live on Wednesday 13th November. TICKETS £7.50  / £10 on the door / 14+  ---> Doors 7:30pm -----> Deadheading -----> Neverlove. -----> Gill Deadheading x Neverlove - Double Release Show Plus special guests Gill Deadheading and Neverlove headline Rough Trade Bristol to celebrate the release of new albums from both bands. Deadheading - From the leafy dwells of suburban Bristol, Deadheading's raucous indie rock is enchanted and honest. The duo's output has been a sonic collage of excellently crafted pop songs buried beneath interjections of lo-fi grit, barely audible mutterings and the constant whirr of the tape recorder, culminating in an experience that feels like the frantic, jangle-pop equivalent of a found footage movie. Neverlove - Rather than explode, neverlove collapsed into existence. The 5 individuals who make up the band have been dragged together, kicking and sulking, by a common interest in combining the sombre and the earnest. Apathy is contrasted by energy as tender, intricate melodies are replaced with anthemic builds as songs reach their crescendos. Lead singer Maddie's glassy, delicate vocals tiptoe over nursery rhyme guitar parts until she soars over buzzing layers of distortion and driving drums. The sound reflects a blend of emo and indie-rock, with twists of alt-rock, math-rock and alternative country.
