Alexandra Căpitănescu is a 22-year-old Romanian singer-songwriter who rose to fame by winning The Voice of Romania in 2023. She achieved further international acclaim by finishing 3rd in the grand final of the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest with her self-penned rock track "Choke Me" - Romania's best-ever result in the competition.
Born on July 31, 2003, in Galați, Căpitănescu began singing and playing piano at age 10. Alongside her music career, she holds a degree in Medical Physics from the University of Bucharest and is currently pursuing her Master's in the same field.
