Polo G, born Taurus Tremani Bartlett on January 6, 1999, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Chicago, Illinois, known for his melodic and piano-driven style, often incorporating vivid storytelling about street life, struggle, and resilience. He rose to prominence with his singles "Finer Things" and "Pop Out" featuring Lil Tjay. His debut album, "Die a Legend" (2019), was certified double platinum, followed by the successful albums "The Goat" (2020) and "Hall of Fame" (2021), which included his first number-one single, "Rapstar". In terms of his latest endeavors, Polo G has released singles such as "Sorrys & Ferraris" in February 2024. His anticipated album, "Hood Poet," which was delayed, was eventually released in August 2024. He has also been in the news regarding legal issues, including arrests on gun charges in 2024, and discussions surrounding his sobriety and family matters.
