Already being hailed as one of Scotland’s most exciting young prospects, Perth’s Parliamo draw influence from artists such as Primal Scream, Buzzcocks, Super Furry Animals and Blur. Their self-proclaimed brand of “underground pop” boasts a punk energy that has rendered their live shows notoriously high-energy, earning them a fanatically dedicated Scottish following. Parliamo have sold out headline shows up to 600 capacity in Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The band have supported no. 1 artists such as The Snuts, The View and The Lathums at eminent UK venues. They have played major festivals such as Brighton’s The Great Escape, Austin’s SXSW and Glasgow’s TRNSMT. Most recently, the band have taken their live show to Europe, playing festivals in Paris and Valencia to great acclaim. Parliamo’s next offering will be a 5-track EP that they have co-written with Jack Cochrane, lead singer of The Snuts, and Scotty Anderson, their producer. These 5 songs convey an irrepressible youthful energy and tounge-in-cheek lyricism that perfectly encapsulate what the band is all about.
