Black Lounge is an Essex-rooted alt-rock band, formed in early 2024, composed of frontman George Grant, guitarist Charlie Betts, drummer Nick Everrett, and bassist Callum Saunders. Their sound has been likened to a blend of the raw emotions of Wunderhorse and the stylish anthems of Arctic Monkeys, appealing to fans of early 2000s British indie. They gained significant attention with their debut single "Bickering," released in May 2024, which achieved over 57,000 streams on Spotify and was remixed by DJ Max Dean. Black Lounge has since released additional tracks, including "Smile," which explores a dreamier aspect of their style. Their latest endeavors include the release of "Welcome Home" in April 2026, which is the first track from their upcoming debut EP. This release marks their first under a deal with Right Tracks Recordings, the new label founded by industry veteran Chris Wright. Their debut EP, "Black Tapes," which features the single "Misfits," was anticipated for an August 2025 release. The band has been actively performing, with recent appearances in Manchester and Leeds, and upcoming shows scheduled for Lewes Music Festival 2025, The Camden Assembly Pub, and other venues in London, Braintree, and Brentwood in April and May 2026.
