Monokate, whose real name is Kateryna Pavlenko, is a Ukrainian singer, composer, and folklorist known for her unique blend of Ukrainian folk music with contemporary electronic sounds, often utilizing her distinctive "White Voice" singing technique. Formerly the lead vocalist of the electro-folk band Go_A, she embarked on a solo career as Monokate to explore her creativity independently. Most recently, she participated in Vidbir 2026, Ukraine's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, with her song "TYT," which was released on January 16, 2026. Her remote performance from the Netherlands in the competition garnered significant attention, highlighting innovative approaches in music events. This marks her second involvement with Eurovision, having previously represented Ukraine with Go_A in 2021.
