Kevin Morby is an American musician, singer, and songwriter known for his distinctive blend of indie rock and folk rock, often characterized by its poetic and introspective lyrics. His music draws influences from artists like Lou Reed, Nina Simone, Simon Joyner, and Bob Dylan, exploring themes of love, sorrow, and the quest for purpose. Morby has been prolific throughout his career, releasing several critically acclaimed albums. His recent endeavors include the release of his seventh studio album, "This Is a Photograph," in May 2022, followed by the soundtrack "Music from Montana Story" in January 2023, and a companion album, "More Photographs (A Continuum)," in May 2023.
