Greet Death is an American rock band from Flint, Michigan, formed in 2011 by childhood friends and co-vocalists/guitarists Harper Boyhtari and Logan Gaval. The band is known for its shoegaze and slowcore sound, often blending these genres with indie rock and post-rock elements to create a layered, melancholic atmosphere filled with distorted guitars and introspective lyrics. Their music explores themes of existential despair, personal struggle, emotional catharsis, life, death, and love, with a distinctive blend of vulnerability and sonic intensity. Greet Death's latest endeavor is their third full-length album, "Die In Love," released on June 27, 2025, via Deathwish Inc. This album marks a slight shift in direction, moving towards a celebration of life and loved ones, though still engaging with profound themes. Singles from the album include "Country Girl" and "Same But Different Now." "Country Girl" was accompanied by a horror-coded music video directed by Harper Boyhtari. The album also signifies an evolved era for the band, featuring an extended lineup. Greet Death has upcoming tour dates in June 2026, including appearances with Touché Amoré in Europe. Additionally, in 2025, Harper Boyhtari and Seth Beck formed a side project named Christian Science Reading Room, which released an EP.
