DOOM GONG is a seven-piece band formed in 2022 in Louisville, Kentucky, known for their self-proclaimed "Denim Psych" genre, which intricately blends neo-psychedelic and psychedelic rock with elements of jazz fusion, progressive rock, bedroom pop, lo-fi, and contemporary classical music. The group has rapidly gained international recognition, amassing a catalog of three rock opera-esque LPs: *DOOM GONG*, *Dream Behemoth*, and their latest, *MEGAGONG*, released in August 2025 via Romanus Records, which concludes their album trilogy. They have also released a live album, *Live at the Whirling Tiger*. DOOM GONG has become a fixture in the psych scene, performing at numerous festivals across North America and sharing stages with notable acts such as The Black Angels and King Buffalo. Looking ahead, the band has an additional six albums planned and is preparing for a European tour in the summer of 2026, with plans for a global tour to follow.
