Sophie Stewart sits between introspection and social commentary, confidence and vulnerability. In 2019, she produced a series of singles armed with just a student loan and a scrappy laptop. Since then, she’s spent time growing both personally and musically, culminating in her debut EP’s lead single ‘Idaho’. Exploring the themes of identity, longing and belonging, ‘Idaho’ blends observational songwriting against a gritty indie backdrop. Stewart’s upcoming EP ‘Don’t You Want a Piece of Me?’ presents an increasingly matured perspective, bringing a welcomed end to her brief hiatus.
jeanine are characterised by their stream of consciousness lyricism inspired by folk pioneers like Elliott Smith and Carol King. They are comparable to artists within the new wave of indie bands. “Imagine if Backseat Lovers (and) King Krule… somehow had a child together: that’s the world that jeanine seems to find themselves in” - Upcoming Network 2026. In May of 2025, they released their debut EP: Back Home and have been performing in independent live music venues across the UK and supporting artists within their sonic niche ever since.
Mollie Greene is a singer-songwriter blending country, folk and pop. Inspired by Fleetwood Mac, Alanis Morissette and Lizzy McAlpine, her music pairs rich storytelling with raw, emotional lyrics. Her debut single I Don’t Think I Love You Anymore is out now on all streaming platforms.
Folklore Hoxton is an independent, LGBTQ+ friendly live music venue and bar in the heart of Hoxton, London, known for its quirky and intimate atmosphere. It aims to reawaken interconnectedness through a contemporary interpretation of ancient wisdom and hosts a diverse range of events from live music gigs, jazz nights, and DJ sets to life drawing, yoga classes, meditation workshops, drag comedy, and private parties. The venue is also available for event hire, including weddings, film shoots, and corporate events.
