Orange satin, mirror ball… Boar on the beach, entering space… Here to dance! Hailing from across the UK and Brazil, London sextet PARTICLS bring new tunes and a loving feeling into the world with their energetic Psychedelic-Disco.
Sounding somewhere between a camp Smiths and LCD Soundsystem , Even Fred’s Happy makes music that gives a voice to the voice in the back of your head that doubts everything you do. Since forming in 2023 the band has established a reputation for chaotic yet charming live performances across London, often the oddballs on bills ranging from post punk nights at The Windmill to pop nights with Laura Mvula, with the occasional house party show thrown in. Combining performance art with punk and pop, it’s as if James Acaster decided to front a camp Yard Act tribute band. But not shit. It should be fun. But it's definitely not normal.
Doublecream are London’s raw post-punk provocateurs, blending glam theatrics with brutal honesty. Their music is a symphony of self-destruction - a fight to hold on while falling apart. Gaining notoriety for raucous gigs at London’s George Tavern and Paper Dress Vintage, their live shows confront the dark side of performance and identity while rejecting easy -labels and nostalgia. Their sound is rock at its current, struggling death-throes. With their new single Hotshot, Doublecream strip away the mask to reveal the exhausting desperation beneath the spotlight - a song that’s as fierce as it is fragile, and difficult to ignore.
