Okay Okay - the indie rock project of Brazilian singer/songwriter/guitarist Felipe Giannella. Originally hailing from New York, Okay Okay now brings deeply personal and honest songwriting to the stages of London. Their songs mix intoxicating hooks with powerful vocals, and confessional, poetic lyrics: a perfectly balanced musical cocktail custom made for indie rock lovers. Latest single “Our Time”is out now and the band is set to release their debut album “Violent Necessity” this fall.
Tortured Devices - "Starting out as a one-man freak-folk project in 2022, Tortured Devices consists of a close-knit community of revolving musicians who all found each other in Brighton. Telling stories from anywhere between the West Texas Highway and the Anatolian Stepps, they fuse Americana with a cross-cultural twist. While lyrically channeling the poetics of Silver Jews and Bob Dylan, the band’s sound avoids getting too comfortable in any specific genre, shifting between Pavement’s slacker rock, Wilco’s alternative country, and Alex G’s lo-fi ballads."
Friktion - “Friktion is a three-man whirlwind spinning out of Brighton, UK. A seething sticky brew of meticulous songwriting and deranged abandon channeling the likes of The Gun Club, Pixies, Weezer, and Lou Reed to take the listener on a whiplash-inducing joyride.”
Romeo & Internet - Guitar led, pop infused, disco pepperd, lo-fi bleached tunes from the London based quartet.
The Victoria Dalston is a historic Victorian pub and a 200-capacity live music venue in East London. It's known for its vibrant live music programme, showcasing up-and-coming local bands in its dedicated music room, and features a rustic, shabby-chic main bar with a 1950s horseshoe-shaped servery. The venue offers a lively atmosphere and is part of the JaguarShoes Collective.
