Hailing from the south coast of England, Modessa have made a name for themselves as an emerging force within Brighton’s grassroots scene. Their sound, powered by heavy riffs, distinct vocals, and punchy drumbeats, is infused with blues-rock grooves, pop-style lyricism, and grunge-esque raw energy.
The Prince Albert in Brighton is an independent grassroots live music pub featuring an intimate upstairs performance room with a capacity of around 110 to 150. Located on Trafalgar Street near the railway station, the venue hosts regular shows focused on indie, alternative, punk, rock, folk, and jazz acts. Housed in an 1848 building converted to a pub in 1860, its exterior is famous for a large mural of deceased musicians and a replica of Banksy's Kissing Coppers.
