Gotobeat is teaming up with The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington to bring you a series of events dedicated to showcasing the best talent that is out there. This show dedicated to R&B welcomes Kwoli Black and Jay10! on Thursday 23rd January 2025. Tickets online £10 Inc. booking fees / £14 on the door 7:30pm —> Doors —> JAY10! —>KWOLI BLACK KWOLI BLACK - Rising alternative hip hop artist Kwoli Black is "shifting expectations of UK rap" (CLASH). After supporting Kojey Radical on his debut album tour, Kwoli has set his sights on evolving his own artistry to reach and surpass such heights. An eclectic rapper, capable of captivating audiences with his pensive introspective flow or igniting a crowd with braggadocious, hype riddims. Kwoli Black "really is doing something different when it comes to his music, a rapper you should firmly keep your eye on" (Jess Iszatt, BBC Introducing London), a true showman, never failing to allow the stage to be a platform to showcase his incredible penmanship and musicality.
JAY10! - JAY10!, born and raised in Ibadan, Nigeria, discovered his voice in rap after years of battling mental health challenges, grief, and a search for identity and peace. Inspired by artists like Kendrick Lamar and Dave, he uses music as a personal diary to reflect on his journey into manhood. His popularity has steadily grown, with his debut EP ‘Turning 10!’ (released in June 2024) amassing over 200k streams. In the past year, he has headlined shows at Brixton Jamm, O2 Academy Islington, and the Moustache Bar, showcasing his rapid progress and the deep connection his story is building with fans.
