Recorded in Leeds with producer Bob Cooper (Pnau, Citizen, WSTR), DIVORCES marks the beginning of an ambitious and confident new body of work full of large, meaningful sounds and grandeur. My Best Unbeaten Brother is a South London-based trio comprising brothers Ben and Adam Parker (formerly of Nosferatu D2, Tempertwig, and Superman Revenge Squad Band) and bassist Ben Fry. Their sound is a blend of indie rock, emo, and post-punk influences, with elements of folk punk, grunge, and raw garage rock. Often described as "the lost pioneers of the indie-emo scene," the band released their debut mini-album, "Pessimistic Pizza," on June 28, 2024, via Audio Antihero, following singles like "Time On Our Hands, Spider-Man," "Extraordinary Times," and "Blues Fatigue". The album, which marks the Parker brothers' first new material since 2013, explores themes of personal growth, hope, anger with a post-Brexit world, and the journey of getting older.
