VENUS GRRRLS is an all-female rock band from Leeds, UK, known for their gritty, upbeat sound heavily influenced by the riot grrrl movement, punk, and grunge, often incorporating electronic and "astrological" elements. They champion feminism and activism, with lyrics frequently addressing themes of mental health, self-discovery, sisterhood, and challenging preconceptions about women in the music industry. In January 2026, the band released their new single "3x3," a powerful modern grunge track exploring unfiltered feminine rage and sisterhood, which also marked their first release on the Killabop label and was co-produced by Max Helyer of You Me At Six. They are currently supporting Nova Twins on a UK tour in March 2026 and are scheduled to perform at festivals such as Bearded Theory, Rock for People, and 2000trees in summer 2026. Recent endeavors in 2025 included the release of singles "Eighteen Crows" and "Ivy Tree," alongside playing their biggest headline shows and debuting at major festivals like SXSW, Download, and 2000Trees. The band also uses their platform for social impact, having partnered with the Anthony Nolan charity and supported the Teenage Cancer Trust.
