The Vernon Spring is the recording project of North London-born musician Sam Beste, whose music blends elements of jazz, soul, ambient, and contemporary electronic production, characterized by ethereal piano work, emotive vocals, and subtle electronics. Beste's background includes serving as Amy Winehouse's live pianist and collaborating with notable artists such as Gabriels, Kendrick Lamar producer Sounwave, Beth Orton, and MF DOOM. His latest endeavor is the album "Under a Familiar Sun," released on May 9, 2025. This album, which features contributions from writer Max Porter and producer Iko Niche, explores themes of domesticity, global responsibility, and political consciousness. He has also been on tour in support of the album, with upcoming dates in Spain and London in late 2025.
