Skye Newman is an English singer-songwriter from South East London, known for her blend of neo-soul, R&B, pop, and indie rock. Her music is characterized by intimate storytelling, raw honesty, and an expressive voice, often drawing on personal experiences of family dynamics and social issues. Newman had a breakout year in 2025 with her debut single "Hairdresser" and the follow-up "Family Matters," both of which charted in the UK. Her debut EP, "SE9 Part 1," was released in October 2025. In recent endeavors, Skye Newman released her new single "Walk" in February 2026. She won BBC Radio 1's Sound of 2026 poll and received two BRIT Awards nominations for Song of the Year for "Family Matters" and Breakthrough Artist, as well as a MOBO Awards nomination for Best Newcomer. Newman has announced her 'The Woman I Am' tour for 2026, with dates scheduled for April and appearances at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in August. She has also performed a sold-out show at London's KOKO and opened for artists like Ed Sheeran and toured with Lewis Capaldi.
