Phew is a Japanese singer and analogue electronics improviser known for her experimental and avant-garde music. Beginning her career in the late 1970s with the punk band Aunt Sally, she has since collaborated with numerous notable artists, including Ryuichi Sakamoto and members of Can. Her recent activities include the release of the album "New Decade" in 2021 and continues to be a legendary figure in Japanese underground music.
