Pearly Drops is a Finnish duo comprised of Sandra Tervonen and Juuso Malin, known for their strange and softly smudged pop music that blends ethereal vocals with cinematic textures and lush, vintage soundscapes. Their sound often incorporates elements of dream-pop, post-punk, new wave, and contemporary electronic music, creating a style that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking. The duo is highly self-sufficient, producing, mixing, and even creating their own hand-painted cover art, styling, and videos. Their latest major endeavor is the album "The Voices Are Coming Back," released on August 29, 2025. This third full-length album was conceived in Los Angeles and serves as a work of autofiction, exploring themes of burnout, ambition, and identity through a surreal, emotionally charged narrative set against the backdrop of an imagined Hollywood. Prior to the album's release, they shared singles such as "Mermaid" (featuring Cub Sport), "Ratgirl," "End Credits," and "Pillow Face". Pearly Drops has also received critical acclaim, including the prestigious Teosto Prize, and has collaborated with artists like Vitesse X. They are also embarking on a tour in 2026, with dates across the UK, Europe, and North America.
