Peaches, born Merrill Nisker, is a Canadian electroclash musician, producer, and performance artist renowned for her boundary-pushing work across music, film, and theater since the 1990s. Often described as a feminist and queer icon, her music and performances are characterized by provocative sound, visuals, and themes exploring gender identity, sexuality, and age, merging electronics, punk, and performance art. Her artistic persona is synonymous with empowerment and rebellion. In terms of recent endeavors, Peaches released her seventh studio album, "No Lube So Rude," on February 20, 2026, accompanied by a new single "Fuck Your Face" and an announcement of 2026 UK/EU tour dates. The album and its accompanying tour embrace a "Prolapse" theme and delve into topics of identity and bodily autonomy. Beyond her musical releases, Peaches was featured on "In the Garden," a concept album and musical by the artist Boyfriend, announced in March 2025. She has also been engaged in various performance art projects, including arranging music for dance troupes, performing in opera, and creating art installations. In 2022, she embarked on a 20th-anniversary tour for "The Teaches of Peaches," and was the subject of two documentaries, "Teaches of Peaches" and "Peaches Goes Bananas."
