Opal In Sky is a Canadian melodic metalcore/deathcore band from Vancouver, British Columbia, formed in 2022 by twin brothers Dylon and Tyson Opalinsky. They are known for their unique blend of heavy, brutal riffs and instrumentation, characteristic of deathcore, with positive and uplifting lyrics that focus on themes of healing, hope, optimism, empathy, and self-love. The band has rapidly gained a significant social media following, utilizing platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube to connect with fans and spread their message. While they have released several singles and EPs, including "The Blight" (2022) and "Dream Shift" (2024), their most recent single, "The Artist," was released in November 2025. Opal In Sky also released "Empathy, the Gift" in August 2023, which focuses on recognizing empathy as a strength. In recent news, guitarrist Jeff Wang and drummer Scott Miller departed from the band in October 2025 due to family and career commitments, making extensive touring difficult. Despite this change, the band continues to create new music and engage with their fanbase, with upcoming plans for new music videos and album releases. They have also recently collaborated with a 12-year-old artist named Alyvia, who designed merchandise for the band, with a portion of the proceeds going towards her college fund. The band aims to expand their touring to a global scale, with plans to visit countries like Japan and Scotland.
