Murda Beatz is a Grammy-nominated Canadian record producer, DJ, and songwriter, born Shane Lee Lindstrom, known for his prolific work primarily in hip-hop and trap music. His signature sound features dark, atmospheric melodies, hard-hitting 808s, and crisp hi-hats, and he's recognized by his producer tag "Murda on the beat so it's not nice!". He has produced numerous chart-topping hits for major artists including Drake, Migos, Travis Scott, Cardi B, and Nicki Minaj. In his latest endeavors, Murda Beatz released the single “Winter's Over” with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Hurricane Wisdom in April 2025. He also attended and participated in the Departure Festival + Conference in Toronto in May 2025, leading a "Cookin' Beats" session to break down his craft. Additionally, he performed at Coachella in the Heineken House in April 2025. Murda Beatz continues to collaborate with top artists and is exploring new sounds, including pop and Latin music.
