About Miki Berenyi Trio

Miki Berenyi Trio is a British dream pop and shoegaze band formed by former Lush vocalist and guitarist Miki Berenyi. The trio also features Kevin "Moose" McKillop (formerly of Moose and Piroshka) and Oliver Cherer, with songwriting being a three-way collaboration. Their sound blends guitars and electronica, featuring Berenyi's recognizable vocals and often addressing contemporary social themes. The band released their critically acclaimed debut album, "Tripla" (Hungarian for 'triple'), on April 4, 2025, via Bella Union. "Tripla" has been described as a richly layered and imaginative take on dream pop, incorporating electronic elements and even dance music influences. In 2025, the Miki Berenyi Trio released the digital single "Doldrum Days," followed by a collaboration with The Cure's Lol Tolhurst and his son Gray on the single "Stranger." More recently, in March 2026, they shared a new standalone single titled "Island Of One" ahead of their UK and Ireland tour. The band completed what Miki Berenyi indicated would be their last North American tour in late 2025 due to logistical and financial challenges, performing a mix of "Tripla" tracks and Lush classics.
