Metallica, formed in Los Angeles in 1981, is an American heavy metal band that is considered one of the "big four" of thrash metal. With its fast tempos and aggressive musicianship, Metallica has sold over 163 million albums worldwide. The band is currently comprised of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo. Recently, Metallica is set to return to the Dreamfest stage on October 15, 2025, to benefit UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals. Also, Metallica's "Maximum Metallica" has launched on SiriusXM.
