About Latter

Latter is a Chicago-based experimental noise rock duo formed in 2022, composed of Meredith Haines on vocals and guitar, and Jon Alvarado on drums. Known for their raw, confrontational, and emotionally charged sound, Latter blends aggressive tones with poetic introspection, creating dynamic and innovative soundscapes. Their music often explores personal themes such as chronic illness, toxic relationships, and the fear of aging. In recent endeavors, Latter has been quite active. Their debut LP, *My Body Is My Sickness*, initially released in September 2024 on streaming services, saw a vinyl re-release in March 2025, following viral success from a TikTok video by Haines for the track "I Don't Owe You". In June 2025, they released the single "Hope You Love Her," which revisited themes from "I Don't Owe You" with a matured perspective. This was followed by the release of their four-track EP, *What Lives Inside of Me*, in late July 2025, which further honed their gritty and poetic style. Latter also announced a U.S. tour for Summer 2025, titled "What Lives Inside Of Me". As of April 2026, the band has upcoming tour dates scheduled across multiple U.S. cities.
