Inspiral Carpets are an English rock band formed in Oldham in 1983, associated with the Madchester movement of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Known for their use of organs and distorted guitars with influences from psychedelic rock, their classic lineup featured Tom Hingley, Craig Gill, Graham Lambert, Martyn Walsh, and Clint Boon. The band has gone through periods of activity and inactivity, reforming in 2022 for a UK tour in 2023. In March 2023, they released "The Complete Singles," a compilation of their 24 singles. In April 2025, the band members reflected on their 38 years together, the Madchester movement, and their upcoming tour, which will include both old hits and new songs.
