Hopsydian live history: metalcore
Hopsydian is an Italian pop-metalcore band from Milan, formed in 2024, known for blending alluring and sacral atmospheres with modern metalcore power, alt-metal edge, and post-hardcore urgency. Their sound, characterized by cinematic tension and explosive dynamics, fuses dark, ritualistic undertones with sleek contemporary production and massive, chant-ready choruses where beauty and brutality collide. The band's name, derived from "Hope" and "Obsidian," symbolizes resilience, shadow, and rebirth, reflecting the duality at the heart of their music, which explores themes of worship, love, obsession, sin, and the temptation of becoming God. Comprising vocalist Myles Idolo, guitarists Loris Ronchi and Nikolay Deliyski, and bassist Roberto Vezi, with an anonymous drummer, Hopsydian signed with Arising Empire in 2026. Their recent endeavors include the release of the single "DEVOTE" on January 30, 2026, followed by "Sight" on March 12, 2026, and the single and EP "ELYSIUM" on May 29, 2026, which further explores themes of fractured identity and spiritual abandonment with aggressive metalcore and sacred choir elements. Hopsydian has also proven their live impact, debuting on the Slam Dunk Italy main stage in 2025 and supporting Caskets, and is scheduled to perform in Vienna on June 27, 2026, and at Summer Breeze Open Air in Germany on August 15, 2026.
