About Apathy UK

Apathy UK is a four-piece, high-energy psychedelic modern metal band from the South West of England, formed in 2022. They are known for combining heavy, high-energy music with melodic, dreamy soundscapes and intricate technical composition, drawing inspiration from various genres including death metal, hardcore, metalcore, grunge, doom, and ambient music, often featuring riff-fueled passages, chaotic breakdowns, and ethereal choruses. They describe themselves as "incredibly young, vigilantly angry and astonishingly well versed in their instruments," screaming at the injustices of the world. The band has released their debut album, 'Phasing Through the Layers'. They have supported acts such as Born of Osiris and Oceans Ate Alaska, and performed on the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock 2023. Recent endeavors include the release of music videos like "Awakening" in February 2024 and "'ROOT'" in July 2025. Apathy UK is set to perform at the Burn It Down Festival from September 3-5, 2026, in Torquay, and has an upcoming event at Blondies in London on September 18, 2025. The band adopted "UK" in their name due to the existence of an American rapper also named Apathy.
