About Hangwire

Hangwire is a Post-Punk revival band that imprints the grey colors of its city in his own melancholic lyrics and straightforward compositions. The influences go from bands such as The Cure, Joy Division, New Order, Interpol, Public Image Ltd., R.E.M., U2, The B-52's, Bauhaus, Soda Stereo, Sumo, The Horrors, Depeche Mode, IDLES, Legião Urbana, Titãs, Engenheiros Do Hawaii, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Sound, Protomartyr, Motorama, Soviet Soviet and many more. With the release of their first album "Farewell" and singles like "The Absurd", "The Collector" ft. Bucle, "Farewell Song" and "The Fall"; the band is trying to establish themselves in the scene. Recently they signed with the recognized Canadian label Artoffact Records and they're also working on their second album that will be called "Eulogy For The Nameless".
