Gutrectomy is a German extreme metal band formed in Lörrach in 2011, known for their relentless amalgamation of slamming death metal, deathcore, and beatdown/hardcore. Originally playing slam death metal, they evolved their style to slamming deathcore. The band released their latest full-length album, "ANGST," on May 16, 2025. This album has been described as their heaviest and most intense work to date, featuring crushing riffs and punishing breakdowns, and includes collaborations with Kyle Medina of Bodysnatcher and Dan Tucker of Crown Magnetar. Gutrectomy is actively touring, with upcoming shows scheduled for 2026, including appearances at Bullhead Festival, Gutrectology - Freiburg Corefest, Metal Rising, and Wisdom Tooth Festival. They also hosted their own festival, "Gutrectology – Freiburg Corefest," in May 2025.
