Egypt 80

About Egypt 80

Egypt 80 is a legendary Afrobeat band originally founded by the pioneer of the genre, Fela Kuti, and currently led by his youngest son, saxophonist and activist Seun Kuti. Known for their massive horn arrangements, complex rhythms, and fierce socio-political messaging, the band continues to tour extensively across the globe—including major international runs and festival appearances—while keeping the authentic, revolutionary spirit of classic Afrobeat alive through releases like their album *Heavier Yet (Lays the Crownless Head)* and singles such as "Problems".
