Bktherula, born Brooklyn Candida Rodriguez, is an American rapper and singer from Marietta, Georgia, known for her magnetic melodies, confident lyricism, and genre-blending style that incorporates hip hop, trap, plugg, and SoundCloud rap, with the user also highlighting "sexy drill". She began recording at age nine and gained significant traction on SoundCloud in 2018 with singles like "Faygo" and "Left Right," followed by her song "Tweakin' Together" going viral on TikTok in 2020. She describes her artistic approach as "mantra music" and operates from an "egoless" mindset she terms "Level 5." In her latest endeavors, Bktherula released her mixtape *LVL5 P1* in February 2023, followed by its sequel, *LVL5 P2*, in March 2024. She performed at Lyrical Lemonade's 2024 Summer Smash in Chicago and joined Ice Spice on her Y2K! World Tour in Europe in late 2024. Her fourth studio album, *LUCY*, was released on June 27, 2025, exploring themes of ascension, creative awakening, and spiritual transformation, and was preceded by the single "DUMB SH*T." She is also slated to perform at The Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash 2025 in Chicago and the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival 2025 in Montreal in August.
