Anna Vissi is a Greek Cypriot singer, born on December 20, 1957, in Larnaca, Cyprus, who began her professional career in Athens in 1973. She is celebrated for her powerful voice and charismatic stage presence, and has become one of Greece's best-selling artists, having sold over 30 million records worldwide. Her musical style spans various genres including laïko, entehno, pop, and dance, and she has significantly influenced the Greek music scene. Vissi has received numerous accolades, including six Arion Music Awards, 15 Pop Corn Music Awards, and nine MAD Video Music Awards. In recent news and endeavors, Anna Vissi continues to be highly active. She had a triumphant return to Athens' Panathinaiko Stadium in September 2025 with two sold-out concerts, where she dedicated her song "Psychedelia" to the Greek National Basketball Team. She is also scheduled to perform at the AEK Arena in Larnaca, Cyprus, on July 4, 2025, with a concert titled "Se Periptosi Pou," named after one of her latest hits composed by Nikos Karvelas. Additionally, Vissi is continuing her successful residency at "Hotel Ermou" in Athens for its 10th season in winter 2025-2026, featuring songs written by Nikos Karvelas and her recent hit "Se Periptosi Pou".
